About this experience

Have you started knitting or crocheting and just keep going back and forth because you are scared of patterns? Or do you struggle with finding quality patterns that have been tested and are ready to go? In this class we will discuss how to find good patterns, where to find them, and what the various parts of a pattern are to make your life easier.
We will jump into Ravelry and learn more about the platform and other places to find patterns that are not in books. We will discuss the advantages to purchasing a book of patterns and look at how formats may very. You will walk away knowing if a pattern has all the information you need to proceed with all the details.
This is a lecture style class, and questions are encouraged! If you have a pattern you really want to do, but are unsure of where to get started, bring it with you.

Heather learned to crochet and sew as a young child. Her sewing stuck with her for years and then she picked up some knitting needles over 15 years ago never looking back. She eventually went back to her roots and started to crochet again. And as she has been falling down the fiber arts rabbit hole, she also enjoys spinning and weaving. Heather has coached youth sports since she was a youth and enjoys passing along her knowledge to help others take their interests to the next step. If you enjoy learning and laughing, you will definitely enjoy spending time at the table with Heather picking up a new skill.
