Homework
- Using worsted weight yarn in 2 contrasting colors with size US 7 or 8 needles work the following swatch(es).
- Before class work the first 9 rows of the swatch so you’re ready to practice short rows! If you are a slow knitter or are worried you’ll get flustered or fall behind, make four of these set up row swatches on different needles. Then you’ll be ready to go for each set of short rows.
- Using Main Color (MC), cast on 31 stitches.
- Knit 4 rows.
- Row 5: (WS) K 3, P 25, K 3.
- Row 6: (RS)Knit all stitches.
- Row 7: as row 5.
- Row 8: as row 6.
- Row 9: as row 5.

Prerequisites:
- Cast On
- Knit
- Purl
This is NOT an absolute beginner class. Please be aware that class time will not be spent on reteaching the aforementioned prerequisites.
Supplies to Bring:
- Live swatch(es) with plenty of yarn attached (see homework)
- 2 colors of worsted weight yarn
- US 7 or 8 knitting needles
- locking stitch markers

Class Policies
The schedule presented is the available time for the instructor. If you are unable to attend a class session, a 1:1 lesson can be scheduled at an additional cost.
Yarncom must be notified a minimum of 24 hours before the first session begins if you will not be attending. Refunds will not be available for cancellations within 24 hours of the first session.
Credit card refunds for cancellations are available with a $15 administration fee.
Gift card (store credit) refunds for cancellations are available at no additional fee. The gift card will be digital and sent to you via email.
You may reschedule your class up to 24 hours before the first session if the class is offered at another time.

Ann Konzen has been working and teaching in St. Louis area yarn shops since 2006, most recently Knitorious. She’s taught hundreds of students to knit garments and accessories, to fix knitting mistakes, and to finish garments beautifully. Beginning in June 2020, she taught over 90 online knitting seminars, providing knitting expertise to students nationwide.
